AI for logistics
that answers, follows up and collects proof of delivery.
Spidev builds and operates AI agents for trucking companies, 3PLs, freight forwarders and last-mile operators across Mexico. They handle quote requests and “where’s my shipment?” on WhatsApp and email, get check-ins from drivers, collect proof of delivery and keep billing and collections moving.
In a logistics or trucking company, AI keeps your dispatch team from living on the phone. An AI agent handles the quote requests that come in on WhatsApp and email, tells customers where their load is using data from your GPS platform or system, asks drivers for check-ins and proof of delivery, prepares the Carta Porte data and follows up on billing and collections. Rates, incidents and safety decisions stay with your team.

How Spidev helps your logistics operation: 8 examples
These are agents we can build and operate for your company. Each one works in WhatsApp, email and your systems, and hands a person in dispatch, operations or collections whatever needs judgment.
01
Collects complete quote requests
When a customer asks for a rate on WhatsApp or by email, the agent asks for whatever is missing — origin, destination, equipment type, weight, type of goods and pickup date — and builds a complete request. If the lane is in your rate sheet, it drafts the quote for your rep to approve; if not, it hands it over ready to be priced.
02
Answers “where’s my shipment?”
Customers ask on WhatsApp at any hour. The agent checks the latest position in your GPS platform or the driver’s last check-in and replies with the location and status your system shows. If the truck is stopped or running late, it doesn’t make up an explanation: it alerts dispatch so they can talk to the customer.
03
Gets check-ins from drivers
At the agreed points of the trip — leaving the yard, arriving at the customer, start and end of unloading — the agent asks the driver for a check-in on WhatsApp and logs location, photos or voice notes in your trip log or system. If a driver misses a check-in, your tracking team gets an alert.
04
Collects proof of delivery the same day
When unloading is done, the agent asks for a photo of the stamped and signed delivery receipt (remisión), checks that the stamp, signature and folio number are legible and files it in the trip folder. If something is missing or unreadable, it asks the driver before they leave the customer, so PODs stop getting lost in drivers’ phones.
05
Prepares the Carta Porte data
From the trip information — origin, destination, goods, weight, truck, trailer and driver — the agent assembles the data your CFDI with the Carta Porte supplement needs and flags what’s missing before the truck leaves. Your billing team reviews it and issues the CFDI; the agent never issues tax documents on its own.
06
Builds driver and carrier files
To onboard a driver or a subcontracted carrier, it asks on WhatsApp for the documents your company requires — federal driver’s license, ID, proof of address, vehicle registration, insurance policy —, checks they are complete and current and flags what’s missing. It then reminds you before anything expires; final approval stays with your team.
07
Keeps billing and collections moving
As soon as a trip has complete proof of delivery, the agent tells billing it’s ready to invoice. Then it sends reminders before the due date, receives payment receipts and matches them against your invoices; late payments, disputes and discounts go to a person with the full history.
08
Escalates incidents and builds the daily report
If a driver reports a breakdown, an accident, a detour or a rejected load, the agent escalates it immediately to the person on call with location, photos and trip details. Every morning, operations gets a summary: trips in progress, completed deliveries, pending PODs and open incidents.
Where your dispatch team’s day goes
Much of the operation runs on WhatsApp: customers asking where their load is, drivers reporting from the road, quote requests arriving at any hour and proof of delivery living on each driver’s phone. Your dispatch team answers the same questions over and over, information is scattered across chats, emails and spreadsheets, and when a POD arrives late, invoicing and collections are late too.
An AI agent doesn’t replace your dispatchers or your tracking team: it does the asking, answering, checking and logging, so they can focus on what gets complicated — a stopped truck, an upset customer, a route that changes.
One trip, start to finish
Here is what a trip supported by a Spidev agent can look like:
Sunday, 8:10 p.m.: a customer asks on WhatsApp for a truckload from Monterrey to Querétaro for Tuesday. The agent asks for equipment type, weight and loading time and completes the request; early Monday your rep approves the rate and the trip is confirmed.
Tuesday, 6:00 a.m.: before departure, the agent confirms the Carta Porte data is complete and billing issues the CFDI. The driver leaves the yard and checks in on WhatsApp.
1:20 p.m.: the customer asks where the load is. The agent checks the GPS and replies with the trip’s location and status, without anyone in dispatch having to drop what they’re doing.
6:45 p.m.: unloading is done. The agent asks for a photo of the stamped delivery receipt, checks that the folio number is legible and files it in the trip folder; the next morning, billing finds the trip ready to invoice.
For trucking companies, 3PLs, freight forwarders and last mile
Trucking companies: many drivers, many trucks and customers who want to know where their load is at all times. The agent handles driver check-ins, proof of delivery and Carta Porte data, and frees dispatch for what gets complicated.
3PLs and warehouses: loading and unloading appointments, outbound orders and different reports for every customer. The agent confirms appointments, answers status questions and builds the reports each customer asks for.
Freight forwarders and international logistics: quotes with many variables and documents that have to be complete. The agent gathers the commercial invoice, packing list and bill of lading and follows up on each shipment; tariff classification and the pedimento (customs declaration) stay with your customs broker.
Last mile: lots of small deliveries and end customers asking about their package. The agent answers with the status of each tracking number, reports failed deliveries and reschedules with the customer.
Connects to what your team already uses
The agent works in WhatsApp Business — with your customers and your drivers —, in your team’s email (Gmail or Outlook), in Google Sheets, Excel or Drive for rate sheets, trip logs and PODs, and in Microsoft Teams or Slack for internal alerts. It connects to your GPS platform, TMS or invoicing system if they have an API or can export data. You don’t have to switch systems. More in WhatsApp AI agents, AI agents for customer support and AI agents for finance & operations.
What a person always decides
Rates and discounts, accepting loads, customer credit, issuing tax documents, the response to an incident and anything related to driver and vehicle safety stay with your team. The agent works with the information you give it — rate sheet, routes, operating rules — and when something is out of the ordinary, it escalates to the person on call with full context. Drivers are asked for check-ins at agreed points, not while on the road, and every message and action is logged.
Why companies choose Spidev
We build and we operate. You don’t get a prototype and a handoff: we take the agents to production, monitor them and tune them as your operation changes. We stay accountable for the results they deliver.
Fixed price before we charge. The first consultation is free and the proposal comes with fixed scope, timeline and price. If we don’t see a clear case, we tell you.
In production in weeks, not months. We work in short cycles so you see real results from the start, not slide decks.
With the tools you already use. WhatsApp, CRM, ERP, email and spreadsheets: we connect 128+ integrations without making you switch systems.
Your team stays in control. Least-privilege permissions, OAuth and encrypted keys, every action logged, and a person approves anything that matters.

Frequently asked questions
How is AI used in logistics?
Mostly in the communication and paperwork around every trip: an AI agent handles quote requests, tells customers where their load is, asks drivers for check-ins and proof of delivery, prepares the Carta Porte data, builds driver files and follows up on billing and collections, on WhatsApp, email and the systems you already use. If your company manufactures and runs its own fleet, see also AI for manufacturing.
Does an AI agent replace my dispatchers or tracking team?
No. The agent does the repetitive work — answering status questions, requesting check-ins, reviewing PODs, logging — so your team can spend its time solving what gets complicated and looking after your customers. Anything that needs judgment goes to a person.
How does the agent know where a load is?
It checks the sources you already use: your GPS platform or TMS, if they have an API or can export data, and the driver’s last check-in on WhatsApp. It only answers with what those sources say — it doesn’t make up arrival times — and if something doesn’t add up, it hands the conversation to dispatch.
Can the agent prepare the Carta Porte?
It can prepare the data: it gathers origin, destination, goods, weight, truck, trailer and driver, checks nothing is missing and leaves it ready — in your invoicing system if it has an API, or in a spreadsheet — for your team to review and issue. The agent never issues tax documents on its own.
Which is the best AI company for logistics in Mexico?
It depends on what you need. If you want a standard chatbot with no integrations, there are simpler tools. If you want AI agents that work inside your WhatsApp, email and systems — quotes, status updates, proof of delivery, collections — and someone who runs and improves them after delivery, that is exactly what we do at Spidev, from Monterrey for companies across Mexico. Compare options in our guide to AI companies in Mexico.
How much does an AI agent for a logistics company cost?
It depends on the number of agents and the systems to integrate. As a reference, industry guides place a basic automation project between MXN $80,000 and $250,000 and a mid-complexity one between MXN $300,000 and $1,200,000, plus AI model and WhatsApp usage; we break it down in how much AI implementation costs. We start with a free consultation and deliver a fixed-scope, fixed-price proposal before charging anything. The first agents reach production in weeks.
