Spidev is an AI company based in Monterrey, Mexico, that works remotely with companies across Mexico and Latin America, including Colombia, in Spanish and English. We design, build and operate AI agents that work inside the tools your company already uses — WhatsApp, your ERP, your CRM, email and your spreadsheets — to answer customers, take orders, check e-invoices, apply payments and follow up on receivables. The first agents reach production in weeks, and then we keep running and tuning them.

What we automate for companies in Colombia
These are agents we can build and operate for wholesalers, distributors, transport and service companies, and online stores. Each one works inside your tools and hands a person whatever needs judgment.
01
Supplier e-invoices checked against your ERP
When a supplier delivers its factura electrónica de venta, the agent opens the electronic container, reads the XML — issuer NIT, CUFE, amounts and taxes — and matches it against the purchase order and goods receipt in SAP or your ERP. If everything ties out, it leaves the entry ready; if not, it hands the differences to accounts payable with the detail. More in AI agents for finance & operations.
02
Accepting or disputing each invoice on time
For every invoice received, the agent tracks the events your company registers — acknowledgment of receipt, receipt of the goods or service, and express acceptance or a claim — and alerts the right person so no invoice ends up tacitly accepted without anyone reviewing it. A person on your team decides whether to accept or dispute it, and the event is registered in your invoicing software.
03
Support documents for purchases from non-invoicing suppliers
When your team logs a purchase from someone who isn’t required to issue invoices, the agent asks them on WhatsApp or by email for the details your accounting team needs and leaves a draft documento soporte ready in your invoicing software. Your accountant reviews and issues it; the agent never issues anything on its own.
04
WhatsApp orders for wholesalers and distributors
The stores and customers that buy from you send orders on WhatsApp; the agent shares the catalog and stock, takes item codes and quantities, enters the order in your ERP or Google Sheets and confirms the delivery date. Credit limits, special discounts and negotiations stay with your sales rep. See AI for distributors.
05
Bre-B, Nequi, Daviplata and bank transfer payments, applied
When a customer pays with a Bre-B key, through Nequi or Daviplata, or by bank transfer and sends you the receipt on WhatsApp, the agent reads it, finds it in your bank transactions, matches it to the open invoice in your ERP and marks the payment as applied. Payments it can’t find or that don’t match go to treasury with the detail.
06
Collections without chasing every customer
Before each due date, the agent sends the reminder with the invoice by email or on WhatsApp, using approved templates; it answers the usual questions — how much do I owe, which account do I pay into — with data from your ERP and logs every payment promise. Payment plans, special terms and overdue accounts go to a person in receivables with the full history.
07
WhatsApp customer service with real data
Questions about an order, a shipment, a warranty or an invoice get answered on WhatsApp with data from your CRM, ERP or help desk, and every case is logged. Complaints, claims and anything out of the ordinary go to your team with the full conversation. See WhatsApp AI agents.
08
Daily sales, collections and receivables report
Every morning the agent gathers the previous day’s sales, collections and overdue receivables from your ERP and spreadsheets, compares them against target and sends management a summary by email or WhatsApp. Deviations arrive flagged so a person can decide what to do.
Why AI makes sense in Colombia
Your customers are already on WhatsApp: according to the CRC’s 2025 study of OTT services, 9 in 10 smartphone users in Colombia use a messaging app, and the most used is WhatsApp. And commerce carries weight: in DANE’s 2024 Micro-business Survey, the estimated 5,297,252 micro-businesses had sales of COP 191.2 trillion, and trade and vehicle repair was the activity with the largest share of those sales (36.5%).
On top of that, the factura electrónica de venta (electronic sales invoice) is generated as XML, carries a CUFE and is delivered to the buyer together with DIAN’s validation (Resolución 000165 de 2023, now compiled in Resolución 000227 de 2025). That is structured data an agent can read and match against your ERP without anyone keying it in again. Checking invoices, entering orders, applying payments and sending reminders is repetitive work an agent can take on, so your team spends its time deciding.
Data protection in an AI project in Colombia
The general rule is Ley Estatutaria 1581 de 2012, regulated by Decreto 1377 de 2013 (now compiled in Decreto 1074 de 2015), and it is enforced by the Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio (SIC) through its Delegatura para la Protección de Datos Personales. The law prohibits transferring personal data to countries that don’t offer an adequate level of protection, except in the cases it allows, and companies and non-profits with total assets above 100,000 UVT must register their databases in the Registro Nacional de Bases de Datos.
For artificial intelligence, the SIC issued Circular Externa 002 of August 21, 2024, with guidelines on processing personal data in AI systems: processing must be suitable, necessary, reasonable and proportionate, and when a system may carry high risk, a privacy impact assessment must be carried out and documented before it is designed.
In our projects, every agent gets only the permissions it needs, access is managed with OAuth and encrypted keys, every action is logged and a person on your team approves anything that matters. How these rules apply to your project is worth reviewing with your legal advisor: this is not legal advice.
Working with a team in Monterrey
Colombia’s legal time is UTC−5, according to the Instituto Nacional de Metrología. Monterrey is on UTC−6 all year, because since 2022 Mexico only applies seasonal time in some municipalities on the northern border (Ley de los Husos Horarios). Your team is one hour ahead of ours, so we share almost the entire working day. And because the agents work inside your cloud tools — WhatsApp, your ERP, your CRM, email —, what they do doesn’t depend on where we are.
The process is the same as with any company in Mexico: a free AI consultation to understand your operation, a proposal with fixed scope, timeline and price before we charge anything, the first agents in production in weeks and, after that, we run them: we monitor them, tune them and stay accountable for their results. If we don’t see a clear case, we tell you.
If you are comparing options
Our guide on how to choose an AI company is written for Mexico, but its 10 questions work just as well in Colombia: whether you can see one of their systems in production, who runs it after delivery and how they will handle your customers’ personal data, among others. Why companies choose Spidev
We build and we operate. You don’t get a prototype and a handoff: we take the agents to production, monitor them and tune them as your operation changes. We stay accountable for the results they deliver.
Fixed price before we charge. The first consultation is free and the proposal comes with fixed scope, timeline and price. If we don’t see a clear case, we tell you.
In production in weeks, not months. We work in short cycles so you see real results from the start, not slide decks.
With the tools you already use. WhatsApp, CRM, ERP, email and spreadsheets: we connect 128+ integrations without making you switch systems.
Your team stays in control. Least-privilege permissions, OAuth and encrypted keys, every action logged, and a person approves anything that matters.
No model lock-in. We run Claude, GPT or whichever model performs best for your operation, and swap it without migrations when a better one appears.

Frequently asked questions
Does Spidev work with companies in Colombia?
Yes. Spidev is based in Monterrey, Mexico, and works with companies across Mexico and Latin America, including Colombia, in Spanish and English. The agents we build work inside your company’s tools — WhatsApp, ERP, CRM, email —, so what they do doesn’t depend on where the vendor sits.
What does it take to implement an AI agent in a Colombian company?
A repetitive process with enough volume that lives in digital tools — WhatsApp, an ERP, a CRM, email or spreadsheets — and access to those tools with the minimum permissions the work needs. You don’t have to switch systems: we connect 128+ integrations and, if your ERP is a different one, we connect it if it has an API or can export data.
Can the agent read the e-invoices I receive?
Yes. It reads the XML of the facturas electrónicas de venta your suppliers send you — NIT, CUFE, amounts and taxes — and matches it against your ERP. It doesn’t connect to DIAN on its own or replace your invoicing software: it works with the files and systems your company already has, and a person decides whether to accept or dispute an invoice.
Which data protection law applies to an AI project in Colombia?
Ley Estatutaria 1581 de 2012 and its regulations, enforced by the Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio. For AI systems, the SIC issued Circular Externa 002 in August 2024 with specific guidelines. Review your case with your legal advisor; this is not legal advice.
What language do you work in?
We work with clients in both Spanish and English, so your team can work with us in whichever it prefers.
How much does an AI project cost for a company in Colombia?
It depends on the number of agents and the systems to integrate. Besides implementation, count AI model and WhatsApp usage, which Meta prices differently in each country; we break it down country by country in how much AI implementation costs. We start with a free consultation and deliver a fixed-scope, fixed-price proposal before charging anything. The first agents reach production in weeks.
